Counselling

Counseling is a form of therapy that helps individuals explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and supportive environment.

It can be an effective way to work through life's challenges, improve relationships, and increase self-awareness.

If you're struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, or stress, counseling can be a helpful tool. Don't be afraid to reach out to a mental health professional for more information.

You deserve to feel your best.

Are We a Good Fit

We may be a good fit if you can relate to one or more of the following (but not limited to these):

  • You were told growing up that you're "mature for your age"
  • You're a self-labelled "perfectionist" or "overthinker"
  • You are there for everyone else and tend to put yourself last
  • You feel guilty or ashamed about considering your own needs/wants
  • People around you seem to find simply existing much less stressful than you do...
  • Are some of your goals - be able to express yourself more? take better care of yourself? feel better about yourself? and just feel better in general?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above, then I am here for you! My counselling base is Person-Centered, which means that we work collaboratively. We explore your experience together and I'll listen, ask questions, provide a different perspective - depends on what you find helpful. You're the one who knows your story

Thanks for taking your well-being seriously!

If you'd like to book a free consult or session with me you can contact me directly by phone or email, or book through Janeapp here:

My Style

Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Theory is all about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

This approach to therapy puts the client at the center of the process and emphasizes their unique perspective.

By fully accepting and understanding the client, the therapist can help them tap into their own inner wisdom and make positive changes in their lives.

Beyond this I also bring in ideas from other theories depending on who I'm working with and how they think. Underlying all of this, I also work from a trauma-informed approach.

A trauma-informed approach in counseling recognizes the role that trauma can play in an individual's life and seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.
